No need to say how hard this day will be for all Americans. It touches me to see all the 9-11 tribute dolls over at the Realm that have been posted over the last couple days and see just how close it strikes home. I've said this several times over the last several hours, but I firmly believe that 9-11 will always be a reminder of how much pain this nation has had to endure through her short lifetime to get to where she is today. Anyone who remembers that fateful day two years ago nearly exactly will remember where they were when it happened. I was asleep, myself, and didn't hear about it until two or three hours later. I remember speaking to friends and family online and on the phone and hearing the disbelief in their voices or words. Over the last two years I've heard many people ask why God allowed this to happen. My mom put it rather well, God is omniscient, but doesn't always employ that ability. Sometimes, evil must occur for us to appreciate what we have. There is a verse in the New Testament that says: "What you have meant for evil, I have turned to good." That verse has kept me strong not only after 9-11 but even before that through the last five years.
