Home again, home again, jiggity, jig.
Jan. 2nd, 2004 09:19 pm:-D Yup, I is home now. Been home for about an hour and fifteen minutes. We got over two feet of snow up there. It was funny watching the vans come down the mountain with two feet on the top. The van with all the bags in it was sitting on this driveway and all the snow that was on top just came sliding down over the windshield on to the hood. *giggle* My cabin won cleanest cabin and slept in our speaker's cabin last night because he had to leave to catch a flight back home to Oregon. In-room showers are lovely in 30 degree weather. ;-) Saw Yosemite (well, what little we could between the fog). B-E-A-Utiful. Got some good waterfall shots and one of the whole group in the snow. I also got a good shot of the chapel at the camp. I'll have to post that one once I get my film developed. Also got some pictures of our guys building a snowman. They fed us SO well up there! I usually don't eat breakfast, but I did this week. Had breakfast burritos yesterday morning, pancakes the first morning, waffles tuesday morning, and french toast this morning. Don't ask about lunch and dinner. All I remember is that we had pizza for lunch yesterday and roast beef for dinner. I had a croissant sandwich with ham for lunch, cooler ranch doritos, mini-carrots, some cookies and capri sun juice. 7 hour drive from the camp ground to the church. And that's with making our way through slushie roads. Some of the girls were like, Oh, I hope we get snowed in. I'm thinkin' are you crazy!? I wanna get home! *lol* It was a lot of fun though. My cabin leader, Sarah, was SO sweet. She and her boyfriend, Matt, were both counselors and it was so cute to watch them with each other. Always joking around and picking on each other. Well, better close this off, still have quite a bit of checking to do on the realm and I'm bloody tired.
